The PSA will ensure the identity documents issuance to citizens of the Republic of Moldova with voting rights

The Public Services Agency will issue the necessary identity documents to the citizens of the Republic of Moldova, who have the voting right to ensure their participation in the parliamentary elections of February 24, 2019, according to the legislation in force. Therefore, the day of February 24, 2019, was declared working day for the employees of the subdivisions responsible for the issuance of identity documents, including the ones within the multifunctional centers. The employees of the PSA will issue provisional identity cards and will ensure handing over of the identity documents between 7:00 and 21:00.

During the period 19 – 24 February, 2019, the provisional identity card will be issued free of charge, upon request, to Moldovan citizens with voting rights, who do not have any identity card or whose identity card is not valid. Applicants shall not submit civil status documents, if information regarding personal data and their change is found in the State Register of Population.

Citizens, who applied for the issuance of identity card during the period 24 January – 21 February, 2019, irrespective of the term of the service requested and the fee paid, may receive the identity card before February 22, 2019 inclusively.

Moreover, the citizens, who will apply for identity cards on February 22 and 23, upon their request may receive free of charge provisional identity cards to participate in the elections.
