Exclusion of the medical certificate from the list of documents submitted for the exchange of driving licence

The Public Services Agency announces that yesterday, June 3, 2020, the Government approved the amendments to the Regulation on driving licence, organization and conduct of the exams for obtaining a driving licence and conditions for the admission to road traffic (approved by the Government Decision No. 1452/2007).

According to the respective amendments, drivers will have no need to present the medical certificate (Form no.083/e) when exchanging their driving licence (in case of loss, theft, destruction or change of the holder's name) within the validity period of the previously issued license.

The aim of the amendments is to improve the accessibility of the population to public services of driving certification, simplify the process, and reduce the time spent to restore the driving licence.

This amendment shall enter into force on the date of its publication in the “Monitorul Oficial” of the Republic of Moldova.
