Resumption of the exams for obtaining a driving licence

According to the Decision no. 13 of 05.29.2020 of the National Extraordinary Public Health Commission, starting 3 June this year the State Services Agency resumes the service of conducting of theoretical and practical tests for obtaining the right to drive vehicles within the competent territorial subdivisions with the observance of mandatory measures to prevent and protect against COVID-19 infection.

The examы will be organized within the Vehicle Registration and Driver Qualification Divisions in Chisinau, Balti, Soroca, Comrat, Edinet, Orhei, Ungheni, Hincesti Cahul municipalities, Ocnita, Causeni, Criuleni towns according to the established work schedule.

We remind you that testing services are provided only on the basis of pre-registration through the module "Electronic registration". Registration on an expedited basis for the driving exam is available exclusively on the official website of the institution An ordinary pre-registration is carried out on the Agency's website, calling the Call Center at 14909 or dialling the contact numbers of the territorial subdivisions for vehicle registration and driver qualification:

The pre-registration for the examination service is available starting 1 June 2020!

The exams will be conducted only according to the current registration, which will be performed starting 01.06.2020 within the available number of places. We emphasize that the registrations for passing the exams that were made until the declaration of the state of emergency, have a valid status only for those of June (starting 03.06.2020).

         When organizing and providing examination services employees of the State Services Agency and candidates for obtaining the right to drive a vehicle must comply with all requirements and standards of protection to reduce the spread of coronavirus, in particular:

  • mandatory wearing of protective masks and gloves;
  • observance of the requirement to keep a distance of 1-1.5 m between people at the theoretical test and wearing of visors by the staff of examiners at the practical test;
  • installation in visible and accessible places of the examination offices/vehicles of hand sanitizer dispensers;
  • monitoring of the candidates’ health (performing thermometry);
  • ventilation of rooms/vehicles and cleaning of surfaces with disinfectant products after each examination process/tour, etc.

It should be noted that in order to ensure a transparent and objective examination process, the processes of theoretical and practical tests are strictly monitored by carrying out video and audio record. In addition, the examination vehicles of the Public Service Agency are equipped with a GPS system, which allows at any time to identify the location of the vehicle.

We remind you that in the context of provisions of the Decision of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova no.55 of 17.03.2020 on declaring a state of emergency and Order of the Commission for Emergency Situations of the Republic of Moldova No. 1 of March 18, 2020, the State Services Agency provides services of immediate need only, although the service of conducting exams for obtaining a driving licence has been ceased.
