Better conditions for future drivers examination

09.10.2017 16:29

The P.I. "Public Services Agency" has recently put into service the second testing ground for conducting practical exams for category B within the Drivers Qualification Directorate in Chisinau.

The new testing ground meets the requirements of the EU Directive no.2006/126/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of December 20, 2006 on driving licences, including the requirements for territory arrangement and equipment  as described in the annex to Law no. 131 of 07.06.2007 on Road Traffic Safety.

„The testing ground is in close proximity to the Drivers Qualification Directorate, which allows us to conduct the exams in modern conditions”, the Head of the Drivers Qualification Directorate Igor Apolschii said. It should be mentioned that there is a waiting room in the premises of the directorate and a sheltered space in the courtyard in case of unfavorable weather conditions.

According to the Head of the Department of Vehicles Registration and Drivers Qualification, Gheorghe Cretu, in order to ensure a transparent and impartial process of conducting the practical test of the examination for obtaining a driving licence, as well as the adjustment of the examination procedure to international standards, the P.I. “Public Services Agency” will continue to provide territorial subdivisions with modern testing grounds. Moreover, next year the institution plans to purchase new vehicles for more categories.

At present there are five testing grounds in the country, which are equipped according to the European standards: two in the capital city, in Balti and Cahul - one in each municipality, and one in Criuleni.
