In order to implement the provisions of Government Decision no. 588 of July 24, 2017 amending the Annex no. 2 to the Government Decision no. 1047 of the November 8, 1999 and Government Decision no. 423 of June 12, 2017 on the approval of amendments to the Government Decision no. 770 of October 15, 2015, the Public Services Agency will issue, starting March 1, 2018, new vehicle registration certificates VP2017. Moreover, starting February 26, 2018, new temporary registration certificates.will be issued
Thus, the list of data and the rephrasing of the data fields in the registration certificate are brought in accordance with the provisions of Directive 1999/37/EC of the Council of the European Union on vehicle registration documents.
Therefore, the data field D2 is rephrased from „Model” to „Vehicle type”, Data field D3 is rephrased from „Type of bodywork” to „Commercial description” and data field J1 is rephrased from „Vehicle type” to „Vehicle category/subcategory”. The data field P5 „Engine Number” is excluded and the data field X is rewritten into „X1 Special Mentions”.
At the same time, pursuant to the provisions of Directive 2007/46/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council establishing a framework for the approval of motor vehicles and their trailers and of systems, components and separate technical units intended for such vehicles, the registration certificate shall be completed with a new data field „J2 Type of bodywork”.
Based on applications for the issuance of registration certificates submitted before February 24, 2018 inclusively, certificates of old model VP2015 will be issued. Citizens, who will apply for registration certificates starting February 26, 2018 will receive certificates of new model. At the same time, we specify that the registration certificates requested before February 24, 2018 will be issued until the 28th of the current month inclusively, irrespective of the term of the chosen service.
The Public Services Agency advises the citizens that, in the context of enacted amendments, in the period of February 26-28, 2018 no urgent orders (6, 24 hours, 3 working days) for registration certificate services issuance shall be accepted.
Vehicle registration certificates and temporary registration certificates issued before the entry into force of Government Decision no. 423 of June 12, 2017, shall remain valid until their expiration date. The price of new documents remains unchanged.
