Decent conditions for all citizens in the multifunctional centers of the ASP

15.06.2018 13:38

The multifunctional centers of the Public Services Agency meet all the necessary conditions so that the citizens of the Republic of Moldova, including those with disabilities, could benefit from public services without impediments. According to the minimum requirements, most offices are located at the ground floor of the buildings. All the centers are equipped with wheelchair ramps and toilets for people with special needs.

In the information area the citizens are assisted by two operators. The stream of people is managed through the “Electronic queue” system. Benches and screens are placed in the waiting area, where the ordinal numbers are displayed.

It should be mentioned that until now 13 multifunctional centers have been already opened, others are functioning in a testing regime, and by the end of the summer all the offices are to be opened.  Within all the centers, according to the “single window” principle, citizens will be able to request services in the areas of population registration, registration and licensing of legal entities, registration of immovable property and rights thereon.

In some districts the edifices of multifunctional centers also host the territorial subdivisions of the Department of vehicle registration and driver qualification. According to the Director of the Public Services Agency Sergiu Railean, in the near future, the multifunctional centers will also provide the service of driver’s license exchange.

The Public Institution “Public Services Agency” was created last year by the Government by merging five enterprises. The PSA aims at facilitating the access of all citizens to quality public services using the “single window” principle, in decent conditions. To achieve this goal, the institution has started the process of building a network of multifunctional centers. The total number of multifunctional centers to be opened is 38, 35 of which will be opened in the district centers, and three in the capital.
