Today, September 1, 2018, Vehicle Registration Offices in Ribnita and Tiraspol were launched in a test mode. The new subdivisions of the Public Services Agency will issue registration certificates for vehicles with neutral numbers in the possession of the inhabitants on the left bank of the Nistru River. The opening of offices was attended by the Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Cristina Lesnic, political representative of Tiraspol Vitalii Ignatiev, representatives of the "5+2" negotiation group and the top management of the PSA.
New documents and neutral registration number plates were presented at the event. The registration certificate, provisional and permanent, was developed in accordance with the Convention on Road Traffic, concluded in Vienna on 8 November 1968. The document has a high degree of protection and contains data about the type of the vehicle, engine capacity, identification and registration number, etc.
The submission of documents for the registration of vehicles will be made on the basis of preliminary registration, on-line or by telephone (123). Registered applicants may come to the offices in Tiraspol and Ribnita starting September 10th. Offices will function five days a week, from Tuesday to Saturday, with work hours from 9:00 to 17:00. According to the Deputy Director of the Public Services Agency Mr. Vitalie Ciolac: “The PSA employees have been trained by national and foreign experts and are ready to provide prompt and quality services to citizens”.
The registration certificates and neutral number plates are intended for vehicles registered on the left bank of the Nistru River to admit them to international road traffic. This mechanism is applicable to vehicles from the left bank of the Nistru River and Bender municipality, except for the localities Cocieri, Corjova, Cosnita, Dorotcaia, Molovata Noua, Pirita, Pohrebea and Vasilievca, Dubasari district. Among the cars to be registered under the new procedure are those designed to carry ten passengers, including station wagons and racing vehicles, motorcycles, mopeds and cycles fitted with an auxiliary motor, with or without side-cars, side-cars.
Both individuals and juridical persons may benefit from this facility. Individuals must have valid identity documents and permanent residence in the administrative-territorial units on the left bank of Nistru River or Bender municipality until April 24, 2018. Eligible legal entities are those registered with the Public Services Agency until April 24, 2018, established in the administrative-territorial units on the left bank of Nistru River or Bender municipality, which performs foreign trade activity and does not provide road passenger transport services.
