Today, September 5, 2018, the Multifunctional Center of the Public Services Agency was official opened in Balti municipality. The launching event was attended by the Deputy Speaker of the Parliament Vladimir Vitiuc, the head of the Balti territorial office of the State Chancellery Octavian Mahu and the top management of the ASP.
“Here, in Balti, we open the largest multifunctional center in the Republic of Moldova, where the citizens will be served by 40 operators, who will provide over 1000 services in different fields”, Mr. Sergiu Railean, the director of the Public Services Agency said. According to him, the institution is continuously working to streamline the processes of public service delivery. “This year we have to implement a series of laws and government decisions that are aimed at making life easier for the citizen”, Sergiu Railean added.
The Multifunctional Center Balti is located in the center of the town, on V. Alecsandri Street, no. 8, in the building that previously hosted the Identity Documents Office. Due to the „one-stop-shop” principle, more than 144 thousand inhabitants of the municipality will access in one place services in the field of cadastre, civil status, registration and licensing of legal entities, population registration. An automated „electronic queue” system is installed in the office, and the applicants who need support can contact one of the three operators in the information area.
Attending the event, the Deputy Speaker of the Parliament Vladimir Vitiuc said that „The Central and Local Public Administration Reform is one of the most important reforms initiated by the Government. It is important because the citizens come mostly to such institutions to solve their problems. I know that the Public Services Agency headed by the director will not stop here and soon will complete this large-scale project, so that we’ll come to the institution with the ID card only”.
The Government’s representative Octavian Mahu also appreciated positively the work of the PSA team: „Mr. Director, you and your team have done a great deal of work and today in Balti municipality we open this multifunctional center that will allow the inhabitants of the municipality to have quality public services."
The Bălţi Multifunctional Center was launched in a test mode on 19 July 2018. Due to the increase in the number of applicants during the summer, the work schedule of the office was extended by one day. It will remain valid until September 15, 2018. Subsequently, the center will work from Monday to Saturday, from 8.00 to 17.00. Cadastral services and services of registration and licensing of legal entities will be available from Monday to Friday, and services of population registration – from Tuesday to Saturday.
