Today, on September 27, 2018 the Public Services Agency received the first application for the issuance of the classification certificate of the tourist accommodation structure. The application was submitted by an economic agent who starts an agricultural tourism business in Ialoveni district.
Following the amendments to the Law no. 352 of November 24, 2006 regarding the organization and development of tourism activity, some of the competences formerly held by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism were transferred to the PSA. Thus, the Public Services Agency is responsible for keeping tourist heritage and ensuring the maintenance of the Register of Tourist Accommodation Structures.
The dossier for the classification of the tourist accommodation structure should contain: the filled in application; the confirmation of the notification relating to the taking up and pursuit of the commercial activity submitted to the local public authority, in the territory of which the tourist activity will be carried out; the confirmation of the notification relating to the taking up and pursuit of the trade activity; the scheme of the location of the tourist accommodation structure, the structure, the location and the denotement of the rooms and dining areas, according to the requirements established by the Government; the scheme of the accommodations or dining areas correspondence to categories; the staffing chart and a copy of the Bachelor's /Master's degree in tourism or a copy of the certificate of completion of the Vocational Training courses.
The time limit for the issuance of the classification certificate shall be 10 days from the date of submission of the set of documents. In the case of facilities and services modifications, the structure must apply for a new classification within 10 days after the occurrence of changes. The classification certificate is issued free of charge for an indefinite period of time.
