The Public Services Agency announces that starting tomorrow October 2, 2018, the applicants will be able to request the issuance of the international driving license under the expedited procedure. The service will be provided within 6 hours, 24 hours, 3, 5 working days and 15 days. The prices for the document issuance in limited time will be the same as for the national driving license.
The PSA has begun receiving requests for the issuance of the international driving license starting September 3, 2018. For a month, the institution received 309 requests of this kind. The document is issued on request, based on the national driving license, for up to three years.
In order to obtain the international driving license, the applicants must submit the following documents: the identity card, the valid new-type national driving license, 2008 or 2015model, the proof of payment of the established tariff, and the application form.
The international driving license is valid for driving in the international traffic only in the presence of the national driving license. The document holders will be able to drive freely in 83 countries signatories to the Vienna Convention on Road Traffic of 1968.
Please note that the document will lose its validity on cancellation of the right to drive and withdrawal of the national driving license. Another international driving license may be issued on request, if the person obtains a new national driving license.
