The Public Services Agency ruled out the need to present the certificate of prosecution for offences when rendering services after Prime Minister Pavel Filip has requested to simplify the procedures and to reduce the number of mandatory documents. The information from the criminal record will be accessed by the PSA employees via information systems.
Up to now, the PSA has requested the certificate of prosecution for offences for rendering some services related to drivers’ document issuance and transport registration. Due to the optimization of operational processes of the public services provision, when requesting the duplicate of the vehicle registration certificate or the duplicate of the registration number plates, the vehicle owners will have to fill out a statement under their responsibility regarding the loss, theft or damage of the vehicle and attach it to the application.
In order to harmonize the national regulatory framework in the field of vehicles registration with the provisions of Community legislation and simplify the vehicle registration procedure, on March 1, 2018 the new Rules for Vehicle and Trailer Registration were introduced. At the same time, it was excluded the need to present several documents, such as: the state registration certificate when requesting vehicles registration in the name oflegal entities; the certificate of the assigned codes and bank details when requesting vehicle registration in the name of legal entities and the certificate of citizenship of the driver when registering the vehicle in the name of a joint enterprise.
Also, since the spring of 2018, vehicle registration certificates of a new model have been put into circulation, containing new data on “Vehicle category” and “Body type”, and on the visible part of the documents the information about the identification number of the engine of the vehicle was excluded. The price of new documents remained unchanged.
