On July 2, 2019, the Collaboration Agreement was signed between the Public Services Agency and the Agency for Land Relations and Cadastre within the framework of the Land Registration and Property Valuation Project implemented in accordance with the provisions of the Financing Agreement signed on September 17, 2018 between the Republic of Moldova and the International Development Association.
The Director of the Public Services Agency, Mr. Sergei Railean and the General Director of the Agency for Land Relations and Cadastre, Mr. Anatolie Ghilas, reconfirmed the institutions’ commitments to contribute to the achievement of the Project’s objectives on the valuation and revaluation of real estate, in the context of the continuous development of the National Spatial Data Infrastructure.
In addition to the massive primary registration of private property and public property (real estate), the Land Registration and Property Valuation Project aims to evaluate all real estate, thereby contributing to the optimization of the real estate taxation system. At present, out of the approximately 6 million real estate objects located on the territory of the Republic of Moldova, just over 800 thousand real estate objects were valued.
Similarly, one of the priorities of the Project is the development of the National Spatial Data Infrastructure. In this respect, public authorities will be lent support to create data sets and ensure their availability on a single platform.
It should be mentioned, that according to the Project implementation program, by the end of this year, cadastral works will be started in at least 6 districts of the country: Ocnita, Edinet, Donduseni, Briceni, Soroca, Floresti. Measurement, registration and evaluation of real estate will be carried out free of charge for rights holders. The expenses shall be covered by funds allocated by the World Bank to the Republic of Moldova.
