On August 18, 2020 the top management of the Public Services Agency participated in an online meeting, devoted to examining the progress in implementing the activities within the Modernization of Government Services Project (MGSP).
The meeting chaired by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova Ion Chicu was attended by representatives of the institutions involved in the implementation of the Modernization of Government Services Project. At the beginning of the meeting the Prime Minister conveyed his congratulations on the occasion of 10 years of activity of the Electronic Governance Agency, mentioning that the modernization and digitalization of public services is a major objective of the Government.
The discussions were focused on the actions carried out within the Plan for the implementation of the necessary activities within the MGSP for February-June 2020 and those planned to be carried out until the end of the current year.
It should be mentioned that the project for the modernization of public services in the Republic of Moldova, financially supported by the World Bank, was launched in 2018 and has an implementation period of 5 years. The Public Services Agency as the executor or co-executor of the MGSP Implementation Plan is directly involved in its implementation. The most important activities related to the PSA competence are “Reengineering and digitization of the administrative public service “Issuance of a driving licence (of the new type DL ID 1, mandatory from March 1, 2018)” and “Reengineering and digitization of administrative public services in the fields of civil status and registration of legal entities”.
