The Public Services Agency notifies that the validity of the passports of 366,061 citizens expires in 2021. Furthermore, the number of citizens of the Republic of Moldova who have previously held a passport, but as of January 1, 2021 do not hold a valid passport is 1,024,959.
In this regard, in order to avoid the formation of queues at the Multifunctional Centers of the Public Services Agency during the summer period, the institution recommends the citizens of the Republic of Moldova to obtain in proper time the passport of the citizen of the Republic of Moldova.
The passport validity may be checked on the official website of the PSA www.asp.gov.md, by accessing the application “Check the status of the document”.
At the same time, the Public Services Agency points out that the citizens may apply for identity documents to the territorial subdivisions of the institution, according to the work schedule: from Monday to Friday, as well as from Monday to Saturday – to Multifunctional Centres of Chisinau, Balti, Cahul, Orhei, Ungheni, Soroca, Anenii Noi, Ialoveni, Rezina, Stefan Voda, Floresti, Sangerei and the Identity Documents Office Varnita.
Optionally, the applicants may apply for the identity documents on an expedited basis – within 24 hours, to all territorial subdivisions of the PSA, from Monday to Thursday, 8.00 a.m. - 10.30 a.m. In Chisinau municipality, the applications for the issuance of the identity documents on an expedited basis may be submitted from 8.00 a.m. to 10.30 a.m. and within the hours of 11.00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., and on Friday - from 8.00 a.m. to 10.30 a.m. the document being handed over the next day starting 8.00 a.m.
