Public Services Agency recommends the citizens of the Republic of Moldova to check the validity of their identity documents

The Public Service Agency recommends the citizens of the Republic of Moldova to obtain in proper time the passport of the citizen of the Republic of Moldova.

Please note that the validity of the passports of 366,061 citizens expires in 2021. The number of citizens of the Republic of Moldova who have previously held a passport, but as of January 1, 2021 do not hold a valid passport is 1,024,959.

It should be pointed out that the passport of the citizen of the Republic of Moldova is issued to persons under the age of 7 for a period of 4 years, from the age of 7 to 16 years - for a period of 7 years, and for those over the age of 16 - for a period of 10 years.

We draw your attention to the fact that the citizens of the Republic of Moldova have the right to hold two valid passports at the same time, provided that the personal data of the holder contained in both passports are identical.

The citizens have the possibility to plan in advance their visit to the subdivisions of the Public Services Agency, using the information system “Pre-registration” through the official website of the Public Service Agency www.asp.gov.md or by phone at the contact numbers of the Multifunctional Centres, and through the Call Centre at the telephone number 14 909. The registration service is provided free of charge and is available 24 hours a day, depending on the office's work schedule.

The provision of services within the Multifunctional Centres is available from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. according to the work schedule: Monday-Friday and Monday-Saturday.
