During the period 17-20 May 2021, the World Bank mission for monitoring the implementation of the Project for Land Registration and Valuation was held. On 20 May 2021, the management of the PSA attended the summarizing meeting of the mission, in which the progress of the Project was discussed.
The general objective of the project is to improve the quality and transparency of the land administration and valuation system in the Republic of Moldova, by ensuring the registration of all immovable properties transferred to private property, delimiting the public lands and carrying out the valuation of immovable properties for tax purposes.
As a Project Implementation agency, the Public Services Agency mission is to complete the massive primary registration in about 490 rural areas where the systematic cadastral works haven’t been performed so far, and to provide the valuation of all immovable properties throughout the country.
During the meeting, the representatives of Public Services Agency informed the representatives of the World Bank mission about the progress made in the initiation of cadastral works throughout the country. At present, the works necessary for registration of immovable properties are carried out in the localities of Ocnita, Edinet, Briceni, Soroca, Floresti, Donduseni, Drochia, Falesti, Singerei districts. Public property delimitation works have been initiated in Balti municipality. The Tenders for performing cadastral works in Straseni, Glodeni, Soldanesti districts and public property delimitation works in Chisinau municipality are carried out.
Activities for reviewing the methodologies for valuation of dwellings and non-dwellings are conducted within the project in order to improve the quality of the immovable property valuation system and provide the real estate market with updated information on the prices and estimated value of immovable properties.
The Director of the Public Services Agency, Mr. Vladislav Zara, thanked the representatives of the World Bank for the cooperation, assistance and support of the projects carried out by the PSA. The managers of the PSA emphasized the importance of developing information systems that support the cadastral system in order to give the interested parties, public authorities, business environment and owners of the immovable property access to cadastral data.
