Within the framework of anti-corruption information sessions organized by National Anti-Corruption Center the Heads of the territorial subdivisions of Vehicle Registration and Driver Qualification of the Northern region of the Republic of Moldova, employees of the Vehicle Registration and Drivers’ Qualification Division of Balti municipality, and the representatives of driving schools operating within the service area of VRDQD Balti participated in a training that was held on the adjacent testing ground of Vehicle Registration and Driver Qualification Division in Balti municipality. The training was conducted by the anti-corruption officers of the NAC Mr. Ion Pruteanu, Head of the Anticorruption Education Directorate, and Mr. Mihail Prodaniuc, Head of the Northern General Territorial Directorate.
The seminar was aimed at diminishing the risks of corruption in the process of examination for obtaining a driving licence and vehicle registration, and at preventing the fraud in the process of obtaining a driving licence. Another important issues addressed during the information session were related to the integrity requirements, gift regime, how to report corruption offenses, inappropriate influences, etc.
The participants’ attention was drawn to the compliance with the provisions of the Law no. 82/2017 on integrity, Law no. 133/2016 on declaration of assets and personal interests and Law no. 325/2013 on professional integrity assessment.
During the event, the issues of ensuring institutional integrity, corruption risks and their prevention, as well as the consequences of corruption offenses were discussed.
