Today, August 17, 2021 Mr. Mircea Esanu was appointed to the position of Director of the Public Services Agency. The new director was introduced to the PSA team by the Deputy Prime Minister for Digitization, Mr. Iurie Turcanu.
The Deputy Prime Minister for Digitization wished the new executive board success in its professional activity, assured it of full support of the Government and mentioned that the PSA has an essential role in the process of modernization and digitization of the public sector. “The State will digitize public services to make them as accessible and convenient as possible for the people. They will be in electronic format, but also provided through modern "points of single contact" to all those who need them. A priority in this regard is to ensure access to public services for citizens in the country and abroad, the diaspora. Mr. Esanu is an exceptional specialist in the field and has an extensive activity experience. You have my full support, as Deputy Prime Minister for Digitization, as well as of the entire government team, we are open to innovative initiatives for the benefit of the people”, Mr. Iurie Turcanu pointed out.
In his turn, Mr. Mircea Esanu declared: “Now we can make courageous reforms, having an enormous opportunity, having the full support of the country’s leadership and we must put into effect this possibility. Changes are necessary and expected by society as a whole. There will be changes within the activity, at the same time, those who do their duty honestly will be supported and promoted”.
Mircea Esanu held the position of Director of the PSA during September-November 2019.
From May 2014 to March 2019 he was the Director of the Moldova Social Investment Fund. Previously, he held the position of Project Manager at the United Nations Development Program UNDP-Moldova and the Eurasia Foundation. From 2013 to 2018 he was member, then President of the Senate of the Soros Foundation - Moldova.
Mircea Esanu holds a Master’s degree in Sociology and a Social Work License of the State University of Moldova.
