Starting February 24, 2022 the Public Services Agency (PSA) continues to register an increased number of applications for the issuance of the identity documents in certain Multifunctional Centres of the country.
In order to consider all the applications for the issuance of documents submitted by the citizens, we decided to extend the working schedule of 12 Multifunctional Centres of the PSA out of 40 territorial subdivisions throughout the country.
Thus, starting March 1, the Multifunctional Centres of Chisinau, Balti, Cahul municipalities and Anenii Noi, Causeni, Stefan-Voda, Hancesti, Ialoveni districts shall provide services for the issuance of the identity documents and civil status documents according to an extended working schedule, from Monday to Saturday - from 07.30 to 19.00 (without lunch break).
Currently, the most requested documents are passports, identity cards and birth certificates.
Within the period 24.02.22 - 01.03.22 there were registered:
- 17174 applications for the issuance of passport (on the day of application – 613; within one working day – 5855; within 5 days - 3326; within 10 days - 1950; within 20 days - 5430);
- 3110 applications for the issuance of identity card (on the day of application - 69; within one working day - 825; within 5 days - 409; within 10 days - 312; within 20 days - 1495);
- 1040 applications for the issuance of birth certificate and 1300 duplicates of the birth certificate.
Within the period 01.03.22-07.03.22 there were registered:
- 25846 applications for the issuance of passport (on the day of application - 393; within one working day - 8514; within 5 days - 4431; within 10 days - 3708; within 20 days - 8800);
- 4458 applications for the issuance of identity card (on the day of application - 97; within one working day - 1234; within 5 days - 551; within 10 days - 530; within 20 days - 2046);
- 555 applications for the issuance of birth certificate and 1367 duplicates of the birth certificate.
According to the legislation in force, the citizens of the Republic of Moldova can submit the application for the issuance of the identity documents (identity cards and passports) at any Multifunctional Centre, regardless of registration of domicile or residence.
