More than 72 million pages of paper documents stored in the national cadastral archive will also be available in digital format.
The completion of the process of cadastral archive digitization at the national level, which means a volume of 68% of documents remaining in paper format, is carried out within the Land Registration and Property Valuation Project, financed by the International Development Association and implemented by the Public Services Agency.
At the moment, 47% of the 72 million pages have already been scanned and verified, so that the Territorial Cadastral Bodies in Ialoveni, Ocnita, Briceni, Donduseni, Edinet, Soroca, Floresti, Anenii Noi, Drochia and Singerei are already operating with the information in digital format. The digitization of remaining volume is to be completed in 2023.
The conversion of cadastral documentation from the archive of territorial cadastral bodies is an essential condition for eliminating the territorial division of the cadastral system and creates opportunities for new services and transparency of cadastral information. Work processes are streamlined through instant access to documents, and the duplication of the format ensures the protection of documents integrity and increases their security level.
The digitization of the cadastral archive takes place within the Land Registration and Property Valuation Project, funded by the International Development Association and implemented by the Public Services Agency in the period 2019-2024. The works are carried out at the expense of the project, and citizens or local public authorities will not bear any costs. The project is intended to support the State Program for the Creation of the Cadaster of Immovable Property, which was launched back in 1998, and by this activity helps to strengthen the land administration system, which aims at supporting the development of land administration sector, including governance, information and communication technology and management of data.
