The Public Services Agency informs that according to legal provisions regarding the organization, functioning and licencing of pawn shops’ activity “The pawn shop is obliged to establish the Work Rules, which are coordinated with the body that issued the licence for the activity and with the local public administration authority on whose territory the pawn shop is located, and approved by its top management”.
In order to ensure the compliance of applicants/holders of licences who carry out entrepreneurial activity in the field of pawn shops with the legally established requirements, the PSA recommends the development of their own Work Rules, taking into account the legislative peculiarities regarding the valuation of goods received for pawning, and also the specifics of granting pledged loans, by pawn shops.
The Rules are to be submitted for coordination to the Legal Entities Registration and Licencing Department of the PSA (Chisinau municipality, 47 Pushkin Street, 2nd floor, office 209) with subsequent coordination with the local public administration authority (city halls, sectorial city halls).
The PSA informs about the availability of providing, if necessary, informational and consulting support in elaborating the Work Rules of Pawn Shops, within the scope of its competences.
