The national cadastre system is in the process of development. The cadastral registration of real estate and granting of property titles continues

31.03.2023 15:21

In the Republic of Moldova, 348 thousand immovable properties are in the process of cadastral registration, 82 thousand properties are subject to public delimitation, and the cadastral documentation for 151 thousand immovable properties is in the process of correction;

The massive cadastral works and registration of rights in the Register of Immovable Property are carried out within the Land Registration and Property Valuation Project, funded by the World Bank and implemented by the Public Services Agency in partnership with the Public Property Agency and the Agency for Land Relations and Cadastre. Thus, citizens or local public authorities will not bear any costs.

Residents of Tataresti village (Straseni district) received property titles for agricultural land, which they own, during a public event with the participation of representatives of the PSA and local public authorities.

The territorial administrative unit of Tataresti is one of the 452 town halls, where the project is present with cadastral works, and the first in the district of Straseni, where property titles are granted to citizens. 726 agricultural lands located in the village of Tătărești were registered in the cadastre with the issuance of property titles for them.

„By granting property titles to citizens, we create the opportunity for them to manage their properties legally, pledge them in case of need for bank loans, draw up various documents such as succession or inheritance entitlement and, last but not least, help them save money and avoid additional visits to the offise”, Inga Grecu Stavila, deputy chief of the Department of Cadastre who was present at the event said.

The citizens of several localities in Ocnita, Briceni, Falesti districts have already benefited from property titles. In the next 3 months about 40 thousand property titles will be distributed in 30 other territorial administrative units in the districts of Donduseni, Soldanesti, Drochia, Floresti, Straseni, Glodeni, Orhei, Soroca, Singerei, etc.
