Citizens can obtain information about the vehicle via SMS based on the data contained in the State Register of Transport. Text messages are sent and received via mobile phone. Both individuals and legal entities, subscribers of the mobile operator S.A. „MOLDCELL”, can benefit from this service.
1. Information provided free of charge* (limited set)
By sending a message with the number of the vehicle registration certificate (VP) or series and number of the provisional vehicle registration certificate (VPT or VPP) to the short number 2887, the requester receives a limited set of data about the vehicle: registration number, brand, model, colour, vehicle type (MT) and bodywork type, as well as the conditions for receiving complete data about the vehicle.
*(the cost of sending the message is 0.50 lei).
2. Detailed information
By sending the message with the number of the vehicle registration certificate (VP) or series and number of the provisional vehicle registration certificate (VPT or VPP) to the short number 2886, the requester receives detailed information, which includes more than 20 characteristics of the vehicle: the VPT or VPP registration certificate, VP registration certificate, registration number, brand, model, colour, vehicle type, bodywork type, year of manufacture, vehicle code, bodywork number, chassis number, engine number, fuel type, cylinder capacity, date of primary registration, importing country, type of owner, date from which the vehicle is in possession, previous owners, restrictions, status of the vehicle, usufructuaries, special mentions.
The service has been requested 661 times since the beginning of the current year, and 3673 times in the period January 2022 - December 2022.
