As from March 23, 2023, the Public Services Agency launches in a pilot mode the provision of 19 services in the field of civil status through the new Electronic Services Development Platform (ESDP) that was developed in collaboration with the E-Govenance Agency.
Through the new platform citizens will be able to request online the following civil status e-services: certificate/duplicate/extract from the certificate of birth, marriage, death, divorce, change of surname and/or forename, certificate/duplicate establishing paternity, certificate of matrimonial capacity, marital status certificate, explanatory certificate, multilingual extract from the birth, marriage, death certificate, notice confirming/refuting the change of surname and/or forename, notice regarding the cancellation and/or modification of a civil status act.
Services in the field of civil status can be accessed online, through the public services portal: www.servicii.gov.md, from any computer or mobile device connected to the Internet without the need to go to the territorial subdivisions of the Public Services Agency.
In order to request civil status services online, through the new platform, the beneficiary must have an electronic signature, which will be used to authenticate and sign the submitted application. The process of submitting the application is much easier, as most fields are already pre-filled with the applicant’s personal data contained in various information systems. Thus, we encourage citizens of the Republic of Moldova to obtain a digital signature.
The new platform allows the applicant to order civil status e-services both in his/her name and in the name of relatives (mother/father, sister/brother, son/daughter, grandson/granddaughter (in direct line), husband/wife) or authorized personse.
Currently, civil status documents ordered online can be obtained by the beneficiary only on paper. You can receive the documents at the multifunctional center that you choose when placing the order, or at the specified address, using the governmental delivery service MDelivery.
Services in the field of civil status, ordered online, are provided against payment and paid for through the governmental service for electronic payments MPay, using any payment instrument at choice, such as: bank card, ApplePay/Google Pay, internet banking, cash payments and electronic coins.
