- foreign natural persons and legal entities are entitled to participate in the founding of periodical publications and press agencies only as co-founders and may hold no more than 49% of the share capital;
- only citizens of the Republic of Moldova may be editors (editors-in-chief) of a periodical publication and heads of a press agency;
- the name of the publication shall include the words “Publicaţia periodică” as well as the words “Revista” or “Ziarul”, and that of the press agency — “Agenţia de presă”, together with the specific name of the publication or of the agency that allows it to be distinguished from others, as well as the legal form of organisation.
